It has been a long time since I have been this excited about a pop album. Just stunning craftsmanship. I kept thinking this was a perfect fusion of Magical Mystery Tour era Beatles and Annie Lennox. I hope for a lot more albums from these folks.

(Review of complete album) One of the best post-punk albums of the 2010s, Sex Tourists are like mid-80s New Order crossed with Constant Mongrel or ECSR: it's never quite pretty because of the deadpan-Aussieness of the vocals, and never quite danceable because of the structures and production, but it's fucking smart and fierce and catchy as the catchiest music ever. A real stunner — one that few folks seem to know about. The LP is still available through Paradise Daily, and you should grab it!
